Job Title: Facilities Assistant
Working Hours: 40 hrs Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Optional Overtime Available)
Salary: £12.50
About The Role
We are seeking two proactive and reliable Facilities Assistants to join our team on a zero-hour contract. This role is due to an increase in tasking and backlog. You will be responsible for a variety of manual labour tasks to support our facilities operations. The ideal candidates will be physically fit, hands-on, and capable of working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labour tasks, including the removal of wooden platforms and general maintenance.
- Carry out housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and safety across the facility.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including the care of lawns, gardens, and other outdoor areas (fauna & flora).
- Safely operate and maintain basic hand tools to complete assigned tasks.
- Support the wider facilities team with ad-hoc duties as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual labour tasks.
- Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including optional overtime.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
