Job Purpose
The Deputy Transport Manager will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of transportation operations. You will lead a team of drivers and administrative staff, coordinate transport schedules, optimise delivery routes, and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of transport logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum 1 year in a transportation management or similar role with leadership responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of transport logistics and fleet operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transport software systems.
- Excellent organisational and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
- CPC in Road Haulage (required) and eligibility to be nominated on an Operator’s Licence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- 3+ years of experience in transport operations (preferred).
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Familiarity with modern transport practices and regulatory compliance.
