Position Overview Unistrut is looking for an experienced Extrusion Setter Operator to support our continued growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce various plastic products according to specifications.
  • Monitor the production process, adjusting as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the extrusion equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure scrap and non-conforming products are kept to a minimum and disposed of correctly.

What you bring:

  • Previous experience working on extrusion machines, including profile or conduit-tubes.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and tooling used in extrusion operations; training provided if needed.
  • Ability to assemble.
  • Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of extrusion equipment.
  • Able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values.

What you will strive to accomplish in this role:

  • S – Zero Harm to yourself or your colleagues.
  • Q – Zero defective raw materials accepted into the premises.
  • D – All offloading of raw materials achieved in a timely manner.
  • C – Zero downtime for machines allocated to material waiting time.

Hours of work: 39 hours per week, working a 2‑week rotating shift pattern. Week 1 & 2: Monday - Wednesday 6am - 6pm & Thursday 6am - 12pm. Week 3 & 4: Monday - Wednesday 6pm - 6am.

Salary: Salary available upon request and dependent on experience, plus 22% shift allowance for rotating shifts / 25% shift allowance for night shifts.
