About the Role

Unistrut, a division of Atkore, is looking for an experienced production welder to support our continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Weld Unistrut range using MIG and spot welders
  • Set up welding and supporting equipment
  • Read 2D drawings
  • Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate
  • Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced
  • Keep production and quality related records up to date
  • Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
  • Be involved in continuous improvement processes, driving improvements in all aspects of the role
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of MIG welding
  • Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Motivation to beat targets safely and meet required quality standards
  • Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values

  • Q – Zero defective raw materials accepted into the premises
  • D – All offloading of raw materials achieved in a timely manner

Hours of Work

39 hours per week, working a rotating shift pattern.

Week 1: Monday – Thursday 6am – 2pm & Friday 6am – 1pm

Week 2: Monday – Thursday 2pm – 10pm & Friday 1pm – 8pm
