Who we are looking for:

Unistrut is seeking an experienced fabricator welder to join our production team in our ladder fittings area

What you’ll do:

  • Producing parts to drawings
  • Set and operate pierce, crop and curving machines
  • Use you experience to apply good quality welds to fittings
  • Use measuring equipment to make quality components
  • Ensures departmental and all company procedures are followed
  • Responsible for ensuring recycling is carried out to the agreed standard
  • Work to Health and Safety within you work area.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement processes and driving through improvements in all aspects of the role.
  • Ensuring that good levels of 5S are maintained on all machines, areas, and tooling
  • Performing Other Duties as Assigned.

  • Experience of fabrication and specifically MIG welding
  • Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
  • A positive attitude
  • Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards

What you will strive to accomplish in this role:

  • S -Zero Harm to yourself or your colleagues
  • Q – Zero defective parts produced
  • D- Adherence to manufacturing schedule
  • C- Zero downtime for machines and minimized scrap parts

Hours of work:

39 hours per week, working a rotating shift pattern:
Week 1: Monday – Thursday 6am – 2pm & Friday 6am – 1pm
Week 2: Monday – Thursday 2pm -10pm & Friday 1pm – 8pm

Salary:

Available upon request and dependant on experience
