Position Overview Unistrut is looking for an experienced Extrusion Setter Operator to support our continued growth.
What you’ll do:
- Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce various plastic products according to specifications.
- Monitor the production process, adjusting as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the extrusion equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on the machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure scrap and non-conforming products are kept to a minimum and disposed of correctly.
What you bring:
- Previous experience working on extrusion machines, including profile or conduit-tubes.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and tooling used in extrusion operations; training provided if needed.
- Ability to assemble.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of extrusion equipment.
- Able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values.
