What you’ll do:

  • Welding our Unistrut range using Mig welders
  • Set up welding and supporting equipment
  • Be able to read 2D drawings
  • Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate
  • Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced
  • Keep production and quality–related records up to date
  • Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
  • Be involved in continuous improvement processes, driving improvements in all aspects of the role
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Good knowledge of production Mig welding
  • Ability to weld various metals including mild steel and pre‑galvanised
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Motivation to beat targets safely and meet required quality standards
  • Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values

What you will strive to accomplish:

  • S – Zero Harm to yourself or your colleagues
  • Q – Zero defective raw materials accepted into the premises
  • D – All offloading of raw materials achieved in a timely manner
  • C – Zero downtime for machines allocated to material waiting time

Hours of work: 39 hours per week, working a rotating shift pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday – Thursday 6am – 2pm & Friday 6am – 1pm
  • Week 2: Monday – Thursday 2pm – 10pm & Friday 1pm – 8pm

Salary: £13.25 per hour plus 22% shift allowance for rotating shifts.
