Who we are looking for: We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor based in Kent, WA. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this role manages all distribution functions at the Kent location, including safety programs, shipping & receiving, inventory management, and warehousing during the assigned shift. The position oversees a team of approximately 5-10 employees. The Service Center operates on a second shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work.
What you'll do:
- Lead and supervise operations of the distribution center shift, coordinating with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Inventory Control, and Transportation departments to maintain and improve standard work processes.
- Plan and coordinate all activities on the docks, including carrier loading schedules and locations, for various transportation modes such as flatbed, dry van, containers, LTL, will call, and small parcel.
- Manage controllable expenses to achieve financial objectives for the shift.
- Develop and enforce a safety culture, ensuring all safety programs are current and monitored.
- Implement process improvements to drive cost reduction and standard work consistency.
- Enhance the on-time delivery metric by developing and executing process improvements.
- Manage and update KPI boards regularly.

What you'll bring:
- High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume Distribution Center, focusing on receiving, picking, and shipping.
- Experience managing distribution center KPIs.
- Proven ability to develop and mentor team members.
- Track record of safety metrics improvement and program management.
- Strong teamwork and team-building skills.
- Experience with Kaizen and Lean initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with WMS and scanning systems; familiarity with JDEdwards is a plus.
- Willingness to travel less than 5%.
