Who we are looking for: Unistrut is looking for an experienced Extrusion Setter Operator to support our continued growth.
What you’ll do:
- Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce various plastic products according to specifications.
- Monitor the production process, adjusting as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the extrusion equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on the machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure scrap and non‑conforming products are kept to a minimum and disposed of correctly.
What you bring:
- Previous experience working on extrusion machines.
- Profile or conduit-tubes.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and tooling used in extrusion operations, training provided if need be.
- Ability to assemble.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of extrusion equipment.
- Able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
- To be able to read technical drawings.
- Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values.

- D – All offloading of raw materials achieved in a timely manner
- C – Zero downtime for machines allocated to material waiting time
Hours of work: 39 hours per week, working a 2 week rotating shift pattern.
Salary available upon request and dependent on experience, plus 22% shift allowance for rotating shifts/ 25% shift allowance for night shifts.
