We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Geospatial Surveyor with expertise in laser scanning/reality capture. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive surveys and generating precise 3D surveys and point clouds that serve as the foundation for our engineering and design projects. This role requires an individual who is both technically proficient and capable of working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reality Capture: Perform high-accuracy laser scanning surveys of various environments, including complex structures and expansive sites, using advanced reality capture technology.
- Data Processing: Process and analyze point cloud data to produce accurate 3D models, maps, and visualizations, ensuring data integrity and usability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver geospatial data that informs and supports design, construction, and engineering decisions.
- Equipment Management: Maintain and calibrate laser scanning equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry standards.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and technical support to junior surveyors and contribute to the development of best practices in reality capture and geospatial data management.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Geospatial Science, or relevant experience.
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in laser scanning and the processing and management of geospatial data.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in software such as AutoCAD, LSS/SCC, and Leica Register 360+.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and precision in data collection and processing.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Security clearance: This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
