Your role:
- Develop computer models to investigate water network issues, investment needs, and generate solutions.
- Analyze data and support engineering solutions that advise clients on better asset investment decisions.
- Prepare, support, and review reports and other project deliverables.
- Prepare health and safety risk assessments.
- Support tender responses and fee estimates at higher grades.
- Supervise staff, providing guidance to support their professional development.
- Contribute to technical innovation.
About You:
- Experience or awareness of urban drainage modelling within InfoWorks ICM (or CS), GIS packages such as ARC or MapInfo, and civil engineering is advantageous but not essential.
- You will work on feasibility studies, computer analysis, site visits and liaison with clients, contractors, and other professional bodies.
Desirable Requirements:
- Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
- Experience in wastewater modelling and distribution networks.
- Building and calibrating network models.
- Using network models for planning, operational and solution development purposes.
- Experience with InfoWorks ICM (or CS) and other modelling software.
Required:
- Expertise using InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
- Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects.
- Ability to check the work of others to provide quality assurance and drive continuous improvement.
- Implementation of industry leading solutions and development of innovative solutions.
- Management and technical supervision of a team of wastewater modellers.
- Supervision of report writing and check and review of outputs.
Desirable Qualifications:
- BSc/BEng/MEng degree level: geography, GIS, science, engineering related subject or equivalent considered with appropriate professional qualifications at senior levels.
- Technician roles require HNC, HND level qualification in similar subjects.
