Within the Midlands South-West and Wales business, we have just under 200 individuals involved in the design and creation of the built environment in Education, Commercial, Energy, Defence and Residential sectors. Our Architectural staff include Architects, Architectural technologists, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects and Building Surveying professionals with a balanced mix of graduates through to senior professionals and directors. People are the heart of our success and supporting, training, and mentoring our staff is paramount to AtkinsRéalis remaining at the forefront of design and innovation.

The role is ideal for those looking to take ownership of projects in a leading role. Our staff are challenged towards professional growth and development within a multi-discipline environment.
Your Purpose
- The ideal candidate will have either a RIBA Part 3 qualification or CIAT accreditation, with demonstrable 3-5 years’ experience on a wide range of complex projects at different stages with a good understanding of the UK Building Regulations.
- Experience should range across different sectors, working directly with clients and contractors whilst leading and coordinating design teams.
What You Can Bring
- The desired individual will understand the design process and RIBA Plan of Work, having the ability to deliver a project from concept, through detail design to delivery on site.
- They will understand how to lead a multi-discipline team, ensuring design co-ordination, interface resolution, clash detection and resolution.
- They will be able to produce, analyse and advise upon materials selection, specification and detailed design solutions in relation to performance and production criteria, as well as proficiently use NBS software.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is essential, experience in advanced collaboration software (such as Navisworks), federation of BIM models, model checking, clash and interface management and on-site job running is desirable.
- We are looking for individuals who can consistently contribute to the successful delivery of projects with varying levels of complexity and ranging in size from small, medium and large-scale. Consistency and accuracy in all work produced are essential for this role.
- The personal qualities required by the candidate applying are strong interpersonal skills, organization and efficient time management, attention to detail, ability to work independently and effectively when under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- The candidate must be self-motivated and flexible, bringing a positive and \’can-do\’ attitude, and the willingness to be a strong team player.
