The Entry Level Survey Technician will support surveyors and project teams in the collection, processing, and management of spatial and measurement data across a range of projects. Based in Whitehaven, the role provides an excellent opportunity to develop practical surveying skills through on‑job training, site experience, and exposure to modern surveying technologies. Your role

  • Assist with site‑based surveying activities, including setting out, measurement, and data capture.
  • Support the use of surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners, and levels.
  • Help collect, check, and record survey data accurately and in line with project requirements.
  • Assist with processing survey data using specialist software and producing basic outputs (drawings, models, reports).
  • Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is stored, handled, and calibrated correctly.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures, particularly in controlled or safety‑critical environments.
  • Work collaboratively with surveyors, engineers, and project teams.
  • Attend training, toolbox talks, and development activities as required.
  • Support general site activities, including preparation, documentation, and quality checks.
