The Software Asset Management Analyst will be engaged with the end‑to‑end software lifecycle including maintenance and utilization of software applications. The role will support the Software Asset Team Manager in providing a global process across all regions.
Responsibilities
- Provide input to the Software Asset Management life cycle, including analysing and redesigning processes.
- Support software requests, licence pooling/checks, and deployment.
- Maintain the catalogue and cost management processes for all software assets.
- Grant licence entitlement in Flexera.
- Raise and manage software purchasing orders throughout their lifecycle, including goods receipting.
- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders.
- Liaise with suppliers to request quotes and maintain appropriate supplier records.
- Identify and advise management and technical teams on licence entitlements derived from deployed software.
- Support the Audit, Risk and Compliance function team through the regular audit process.
- Provide report information on software/ licence counts, metrics and usage, and input on licensing terms that impact licensing.
- Maintain the licence inventory and perform software harvesting based on usage.
- Assist with license‑related questions and issues.
Qualifications
- Experience working within an ITIL‑aligned Service Management organisation.
- Experience in Software Asset Management.
- High level of proficiency and knowledge of IT Asset Management and enterprise procurement processes.
- Experience implementing process change and performance improvement.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven experience in data analysis with strong numeracy and reporting skills.
- Qualification in Software Asset Management.
- Supplier Relationship experience and working knowledge of ServiceNow.
- ITIL V4 Foundation accreditation.
- IT Service Management expertise.
Work Location and Hours
Work from the Epsom office two designated days each week—Tuesdays and Thursdays—from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM (BST).
