Join us as a Process Engineer in our Process Engineering team within the Net Zero Energy Business, and play a vital role in improving the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our clients' assets, as well as helping determine the feasibility of future technologies. There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all career plan in AtkinsRéalis. With a huge variety of projects to work on, you will have plenty of opportunities to grow and challenge yourself as a consultant.
Your purpose: You will sit within our Net Zero Energy Business where we work with major clients across the UK, Europe and Middle East to develop cutting edge power generation, CCS, chemical processing, refining, H2 production and storage projects, as well as supporting our clients' existing assets. This is in addition to our exciting collaborations with our nuclear team's projects including fusion, large scale nuclear new build and small modular reactors. Our work is across the project lifecycle from front end development to operation as we deliver cutting edge engineering solutions.
The preferred work locations will be in one of our Net Energy office locations in Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stockton; our main hubs are in Bristol and Glasgow. Other home locations and hybrid working will be considered but you may be required to travel to AtkinsRéalis offices/clients as required.

What you can bring? Are you a qualified Chemical Engineer who thrives in a growing, exciting consultancy environment? As part of a group offering consultancy and design services to the process and power industries, you will bring a strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, such as fluid flow, thermodynamics and process safety, as well as a driving curiosity to understand how processes work. We are looking for the following skills for this role:
- An individual who has experience and enthusiasm simulation and other digital tools e.g. Hysys Dynamics, Aveva Dynamic Simulation and potentially coding.
- A chartered engineer who has experience leading and directing scopes of works and is comfortable checking process deliverables.
- An individual who likes working with other team members and disciplines, and to develop early-career engineers and placement students.
- Someone who is driven to work with clients and develop relationships in order to win work and build long term working partnerships.
