Responsibilities

  • Design input to a range of projects including education, public realm, parks & greenspace, active travel, and design guidance.
  • Prepare bids and contribute to work‑winning activities.
  • Provide landscape advice to external and internal clients.
  • Allocate resources in liaison with the landscape senior leadership team.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Support project delivery from feasibility through to construction.
  • Undertake site surveys, design, assessment and write technical reports.
  • Conduct hand drawings and other communication activities.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary integrated team.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Senior/Principal Landscape Architect with an excellent design track record.
  • Relevant landscape degree.
  • Extensive post‑Chartered experience in landscape role, ideally both public and private sectors.
  • Experience managing and delivering multi‑disciplinary projects, preferably in the education sector.
  • Proven experience in technical delivery and supervising projects on site (RIBA Stage 4 and 5).
  • Excellent project management skills and proven ability to manage budgets.
  • Consultancy experience and commercial expertise are advantageous.
  • Competence in AutoCAD and Adobe software packages; experience with REVIT is beneficial.
  • Experience with BIM and hand drawing communication.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to draft reports and develop design information to a high standard.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Confident team worker, able to work with limited supervision, with commercial awareness and business development skills.
  • Fluency in English and good interpersonal skills.
  • Inquisitive approach and ability to work in a stimulating multidisciplinary environment.
