Are you a Mechanical Engineer with a background in analysis and design of piping systems and pressure equipment, who thrives on solving complex problems? Are you interested in leading projects and mentoring junior engineers? You will work on critical pressure equipment design challenges in the energy sector, supporting projects in nuclear safety, fusion reactors, submarine programs, SMRs, and renewable energy initiatives. The role involves managing multiple projects, providing innovative solutions, and ensuring safe, reliable plant operation, contributing significantly to future energy safety.
We seek a self-starter capable of delivering multiple projects, collaborating with clients and teams to meet requirements and deliver quality solutions efficiently.
Role requirements- Degree qualified mechanical engineer or relevant qualification
- Experience in piping and pressure vessel design and stress analysis
- Experience in preparing detailed technical reports
- Ability to engage with clients and understand their needs
- Experience in safety-critical, regulated environments like nuclear power
- Chartered status or working towards it
- Knowledge of design codes such as ASME BPVC, RCC-M, BS EN standards
- Experience with automation tools, preferably Python
- Experience in requirements capture, bid writing, site support, and compliance
