Infrastructure division within UKI sector have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Senior Finance Business Partner is responsible for the financial management of the infrastructure business.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls as well as external regulatory compliance, including VAT and lead contact for the statutory audit, for the legal entities.
  • Provide leadership to the wider finance team to optimise financial performance and strategic position, particularly to support and appraise commercial decisions for bid costing and pricing.
  • Conduct monthly reviews alongside market/practice SFBPs, scrutinising and challenging the accuracy and reliability to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and to reduce financial risk.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement following the implementation of ERP Oracle to maximise efficiency and enhance reporting for decision making capabilities to ensure focus on achieving results.
  • Oversee cashflow forecasting to maintain adequate liquidity for both operational and strategic activities.
  • Provide financial analysis of business performance against budgets/forecasts/KPI’s and insights to support decision-making to drive improved performance and growth.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant with several years’ experience (ACA or equivalent).
  • Strong academic record.
  • Demonstrable growth mindset, strong record of collaboration.
  • Curious about business and its drivers.
  • Resilient and agile.
  • The role will require travel, mainly within the UK.

  • Well-developed commercial knowledge and business understanding.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Broad understanding of tax and compliance matters relevant to the geography.
