As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a key role in design management on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects both domestically and internationally. Our expertise spans river and coastal engineering across sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Cities & Development. We deliver industry-leading solutions throughout the project lifecycle, providing added value through client-side support and construction phases. We are eager to connect with passionate industry professionals. We have openings in our offices located in Epsom, Peterborough, Bristol, Exeter, Swansea, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Your Purpose:
- Deliver high-quality technical design work in accordance with relevant standards and codes.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
- Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Identify, communicate, and manage project risks.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
- Chartered Civil Engineer qualification.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary and Design & Build projects.
- Knowledge of coastal defenses, flood walls, embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, access, and construction logistics.
- Familiarity with UK design standards, guidance, and practices.
- Ability to deliver traditional engineering and environmentally focused, nature-based solutions.
- Strong commercial, contractual, and programming experience.
