As a Project Manager, you will lead construction projects from initial concept through to completion. You will be responsible for managing contractors, coordinating programmes, controlling costs, and ensuring all works comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Working closely with clients, consultants, and site teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exacting standards. This role demands strong leadership and organisational skills, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and value delivery. Responsibilities

  • Managing projects from inception through to completion
  • Producing, monitoring, and maintaining detailed project programmes
  • Coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and on-site teams
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed budgets and financial targets
  • Monitoring compliance with health, safety, and building regulations
  • Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Undertaking regular site visits and preparing progress reports
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation measures
  • Reviewing and approving project documentation, including drawings and method statements
  • Resolving site issues efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Promoting continuous improvement and best practice across projects
  • Proven experience in project management within relevant construction sectors

Qualifications

  • A construction-related degree or equivalent qualification
  • MRICS status or progression towards chartership
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legislation
  • Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and site teams
  • The ability to manage budgets, control costs, and meet financial targets
  • A solid understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive problem-solving approach and ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to travel to other offices across Yorkshire when required
