AtkinsRéalis has an exciting opportunity for a Project Director to join our expanding Project Delivery Practice business and support the delivery of our growth plan in the Defence Market and oversee the projects we deliver to our defence clients across the UK. Your role will be to lead the project delivery services to our defence clients, support the growth of our team delivering defence projects and ensure high levels of client satisfaction through the delivery of high‑quality project delivery and commercial management services. Owing to the sensitive nature of the works involved in these specialist defence projects candidates will be required to hold or be able to hold valid security clearance (SC) and to do so will need to be:
Your purpose
- Have extensive experience in the delivery of major projects within the defence sector, specifically defence infrastructure.
- Have extensive experience of client management, stakeholder engagement, construction management and project delivery.
- Be a strong communicator and relationship manager. Have experience in buildings and ideally in building services.
- Experience of developing sector strategies, client engagement, business development and work‑winning for consultancy services in the defence sector.
- A track record in the leadership of project teams and effective people leadership to achieve high performance.
- Expertise in Project Management and commercial services to support the delivery of clients’ capital projects. Qualifications related to Project Management or Commercial Management and membership of relevant professional institutions such as RICS, APM, etc.

- Preferred if chartered / qualified with ICE, APM, RICS and NEC commercial experience.
