Are you into flood risk management and looking for your next exciting opportunity? We are looking for senior flood modellers, to join our thriving business, working on our great projects across the UK. If this is you, we want to hear from you and discuss how we can help you develop your career!
We have recently been named as a Delivery Partner for the Environment Agency’s latest framework – to help better understand the impact of climate change and risk of flooding for communities in England. Under the 2024 Mapping and Modelling Framework AtkinsRéalis will provide the Environment Agency with survey, mapping, modelling, incident management, hydrological and other professional services to help identify and plan for climate events. This is a significant programme that will help the Environment Agency understand better the impact of climate change and reduce the risk of flooding to communities across England, including the vital response required to support communities that have been flooded. The Mapping and Modelling Framework underpins the work of the Environment Agency, enabling it to make informed investment decisions based on data and evidence.
As a result of this and other committed projects, we have vacancies UK wide for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals in a predominantly technical area.
Role: contribute to and lead hydraulic and hydrological modelling projects.
Expertise: Proficiency in 1D and 2D modelling for rivers, surface water, and coastal areas.
Location: Vacancies across the UK.

We have ongoing projects in flood risk management with a lot of work coming from our frameworks for the Environment Agency and numerous local authorities in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, as well as major projects like HS2 and Sizewell C. We are undertaking projects in natural flood management, flood forecasting, flood alleviation and helping water companies with elements of their water resources and water quality issues. Beyond this, we work internationally and have work committed across the globe, including the Red Sea economic zone, Al Bada developments in the middle east, and EIA work in North America. All our projects are run with our colleagues in India, and you will be working as part of an international team.

You will be able to build strong relationships with our clients with a high degree of collaborative working skills to ensure we get the best from our working relationships with client teams.
