Your role
As part of the Delivery Insights capability, you’ll help teams make sense of data and delivery information across secure government programmes. You’ll support or guide the creation, improvement and interpretation of dashboards, reports and data-focused outputs that drive strategic and operational decision-making. Working within multidisciplinary delivery teams, you’ll gather, interpret and visualise data relating to schedule, risk, cost, performance, resource and benefits. You’ll help shape the 'delivery story' — turning complex information into clear, compelling insights that highlight progress, issues, constraints and opportunities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that programme leaders and stakeholders have timely, trusted information they can act on. As you grow, you’ll take ownership of insight products, influence the development of data insight approaches, and support the evolution of insight capability within Secure Government.
P4 practitioners will drive insight workstreams, influence senior stakeholders, mentor others, and help set the strategic direction of the capability.
In this role, you will:
- Collect, cleanse and interpret delivery data from multiple sources.
- Maintain dashboards and reporting cycles that support programme governance.
- Interpret trends, forecast performance and highlight emerging risks or delivery challenges.
- Produce visually compelling reports, dashboards and data products that tell a clear story.
- Engage with delivery teams to understand context behind the data.
- Support planning, scheduling and financial monitoring by providing data insight.
- Contribute to designing and improving reporting frameworks and data structures.
- Provide recommendations for improving project performance based on insight.
- Work closely with PMO, Project Managers, Risk Managers, Planners and other capabilities to align information.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and help improve the maturity of insight‑driven delivery.
For more experienced candidates: coordinate and guide insight workstreams, act as a senior advisor, coach junior analysts and contribute to capability growth.
All our roles are subject to a minimum of 3 days in the office, either onsite with our clients or at one of our AtkinsRéalis offices, (pro‑rated for part‑time employees). These particular roles are based in Cheltenham and we are looking for candidates who can commit to being onsite in Cheltenham for a minimum of 4 days per week.
