As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering work that's driven by excellence as well as doing the right thing. Our teams work across a wide range of complex infrastructure sectors, including utilities, defence, aviation, energy, highways and rail. As well as building long-term, sustainable relationships with our clients, you'll also be a catalyst for your colleagues' career progression. Working with a variety of Client teams on secondments lasting from 6 months to multiple years, to align with your career aspirations.

Your role

  • Collaboration – Working in the client team with leadership, project managers, contractors, and internal managers.
  • Cost Management - Monitoring project costs to ensure the project is delivered within budget. Validating contractor and supplier costs & payments.
  • Reporting - Providing regular input to financial reports to ensure our clients have confidence in their project outcomes.
  • Procurement – Supporting the procurement team in evaluating and appointing contractors.
  • Contract Administration - Administering various contract types, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions. Supporting with contract change by reviewing validity, quotations and ensuring timely submissions and agreement. Working closely with the team to maintain accurate and comprehensive project records.
  • Risk and Value Management - Identifying, analysing, and mitigating commercial risks. Assisting in value engineering to optimise project performance.

About You

  • Working towards membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent, recognised body.
  • Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in civil infrastructure projects preferrable.
  • Experience with common forms of UK Construction contracts such as NEC, ICC, FIDIC, or JCT preferrable.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If it is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
