Our Programme Management, Sustainability & Advisory (PMSA) Practice helps clients establish, transform and deliver complex programmes and projects, portfolios and organisations across the built environment. Working across public and private sector clients, we support major buildings and places, property, estates, capital investment and transformation programmes. Our work spans programme and portfolio management, assurance and compliance, business transformation, organisational performance, sustainability, decarbonisation, environmental certification, asset management and strategic advisory services.

We are seeking a Sustainability Certification Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our growing Programme Management, Sustainability & Advisory team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in environmental certification, sustainability advisory and sustainable buildings who wants to work across a diverse portfolio of programmes and projects. Our work includes environmental certification schemes such as BREEAM, WELL, NABERS, HQM and other sustainability frameworks, alongside broader sustainability advisory services including net zero carbon, whole-life carbon, retrofit, resilience and decarbonisation.

We are looking for individuals who bring strengths in environmental certification and sustainability advisory and are motivated to continue developing across the wider sustainability landscape. You will help clients deliver meaningful sustainability outcomes across a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes. Working alongside clients, design teams and project stakeholders, you will lead and support environmental certification activities, providing practical advice to help projects achieve their sustainability ambitions while balancing operational, commercial and technical requirements.

Depending on your experience and interests, you may support environmental certification schemes such as BREEAM, WELL, NABERS or HQM, develop sustainability strategies, contribute to net zero and decarbonisation initiatives, advise on building performance and whole-life carbon, or support wider sustainability and resilience programmes. You will build trusted client relationships, facilitate workshops and technical discussions, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and produce high-quality technical outputs and recommendations. You will also contribute to business development activities, support bids and proposals, help develop new service offerings, and play an active role in the growth of the Programme Management, Sustainability & Advisory team.

Passionate about sustainability and delivering positive environmental outcomes across the built environment, with experience in sustainability consulting, environmental certification, decarbonisation, net zero carbon, building performance and energy efficiency projects. Educated to degree level in Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Architecture or a related discipline, with chartered status or a commitment to achieving professional accreditation. Hold, or are working towards, industry-recognised qualifications such as BREEAM Assessor, BREEAM Advisory Professional (AP), WELL AP, WELL Assessor, NABERS, LEED, HQM or equivalent sustainability certifications.

Highly adaptable, innovative and resourceful, able to thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines. Strategic yet analytical, with strong capability to interpret technical information, performance data and sustainability metrics to support informed decision-making. Commercially aware and market-savvy, with the ability to identify opportunities, add value for clients and translate sustainability objectives into practical, deliverable solutions. A collaborative and engaging team player with excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, confident in working with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Enthusiastic, energetic and committed to continuous professional development, with a strong desire to grow and contribute within a progressive and expanding sustainability practice.
