Our collaborative and multi‐disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS, and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways/rail authorities, and developers.
It's an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business with unprecedented investment in the water industry. Due to continued framework successes, we seek to recruit a Principal / Associate Water Quality Modeller to join our Water and Wastewater Team at any office location across the UK.

Your role- Providing leadership in riverine water quality modelling for SOAF/INV4/UPM projects, with an appreciation of bathing and shellfish water assessments and general Water Framework Directive and Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive reviews.
- Executing modelling projects with multidisciplinary teams, utilising robust numerical expertise in environmental engineering.
- Maintaining high standards for deliverables and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Overseeing or contributing to project and programme management activities.
- Supporting the development of tender submissions and fee estimates.
- Developing and mentoring staff while offering guidance to facilitate their ongoing professional growth.
- Driving technical innovation and leading initiatives within improvement workgroups.
- Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
- Proven track record in coordinating and delivering SOAF/INV4/UPM projects for UK water companies.
- Good understanding of water quality processes.
- Expertise using industry standard software such as InfoWorks ICM.
- Ability to review work of others to provide quality assurance and drive continuous improvement in work delivered to the client.
- Ability to manage projects and maintain client relationships.

Security clearanceThis role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
