As a Quantity Surveyor in Leicester, you will manage cost planning, procurement and contract administration across construction schemes, working under NEC and JCT contracts. Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost plans and tender documentation for construction projects
- Manage procurement processes and contractor negotiations
- Administer contracts including valuations, variations and final accounts
- Provide commercial advice to clients on cost management and value engineering opportunities
- Monitor project budgets and cost reporting throughout delivery phases
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment between cost and programme
- Support business development through technical client relationship management
- Develop technical and commercial skills with clear progression to Senior Quantity Surveyor
To be successful in this Quantity Surveyor job in Leicester, you will bring solid post-graduate experience in cost management or commercial roles. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or cost consultant in construction. Consultancy, main contracting or developer background preferred. Working towards RICS chartered status (AssocRICS or progressing to MRICS). Strong commercial awareness and contract administration knowledge. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction Economics. Experience with NEC or JCT contracts and cost management software advantageous.
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)
