We have an extensive backlog of DSEAR work (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) across the UK in multiple markets. Bring your skills to the mix as a Senior DSEAR Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting our engineering teams with a vital function on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education. We continue to provide industry-leading engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. Your Purpose
- Manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams across the UK to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring
- Chartered Engineer.
- Experience of the role of DSEAR in design delivery, ideally within the water industry, or a related process industry.
- Sound technical knowledge of the application of DSEAR, including risk assessment and area classification in accordance with EN and IP 15.
- Strong understanding of ATEX legislation as well as CDM.

Rewards and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
