The role:
As the Head of 3D Visualisation at Creative Design, AtkinsRéalis, you will be the creative powerhouse leading our team to new heights. Your role is pivotal in shaping our visual identity, enhancing team culture, and driving commercial success. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, tracking trends, and ensuring our services remain cutting-edge. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in nurturing talent, fostering collaboration, and delivering exceptional results.
Your purpose:
- Cultivating Team Culture and Development: Foster a vibrant and supportive team culture that promotes wellbeing, collaboration, and growth. Provide mentorship and clear development pathways to empower team members to thrive. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to listen to team members' aspirations and concerns, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.
- Staying Ahead of the Curve: Keep a keen eye on industry trends, competitor activities, and internal insights. Translate insights into actionable strategies to keep our visualisation services at the forefront of innovation. Engage the team in trend assessment through interactive discussions and events to capture the golden nuggets of creativity.
- Strategic Service Line Evolution: Identify strategic opportunities aligned with business development insights and commercial strategy. Drive the evolution of our service offerings, from Visual/Digital Twin to AR use cases, keeping us ahead of the curve. Regularly evaluate investment strategies to ensure alignment with commercial goals, leveraging platforms like Monday.com for visibility and accountability.
- Cross-disciplinary Collaboration: Harness the diversity within our team to foster collaborative success and skill crossover. Explore capability gaps and assess the value of internal growth versus external partnerships. Ensure visibility of opportunity development across teams, aligning with our blue project strategy.
- Quality Assurance and Delivery Excellence: Uphold the highest standards of quality in all deliverables, ensuring client satisfaction. Monitor project timelines and resource allocation to optimise delivery efficiency. Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance our service delivery and client experience.
- Enhancing Influence and Winning Work: Elevate the profile and influence of the Visualisation team within the organisation and industry. Collaborate closely with Business Development to identify and pursue new opportunities. Participate in client engagements and presentations to showcase our capabilities and win more work.
- Commercial Awareness and Financial Management: Maintain a deep understanding of the commercial landscape and client needs to drive revenue growth. Oversee budgetary planning, financial forecasting, and resource allocation for visualisation projects. Ensure accurate budget tracking and financial reporting in collaboration with the commercial teams.
- Performance Tracking and Productivity Enhancement: Develop robust reporting mechanisms to track key performance indicators related to productivity and project delivery. Analyse performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimisation. Implement strategies to enhance team productivity, streamline workflows, and drive efficiency.
What you can bring:
- Exceptional understanding of production pipelines and workflows in the visualisation industry.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in software such as 3ds Max, V-Ray, Unreal Engine, Unity, Adobe Suite, and AI workflows.
- Good knowledge of AEC applications such as Revit, Navisworks, Autocad, Rhino and Sketchup.
- Ability to leverage advanced techniques and technologies to produce high-quality visualisations and interactive experiences.
- Proven leadership experience in a visualisation or creative design environment.
- Strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Proficiency in project management tools and platforms.
