AtkinsRéalis, Balfour Beatty and Egis Road Operations UK are part of a consortium, creating Connect Plus Services, a unique partnership with a collective strength in highways asset care from finance, through to design, build, maintenance as well as day to day operation. As part of our 30-year remit to manage and improve the capital's orbital motorway network, we deliver major improvement projects, such as widening 38 miles of the M25, refurbishing tunnels and bridges, and installing hundreds of variable messaging signs and gantries, helping to maximise the use of the network and deliver more reliable journeys.
The CPS GIS team are responsible for the systems and spatial data that are used by and often critical to various business functions and teams. The GIS Analyst will focus on improving and maintaining GIS systems and processes and assisting the wider GIS team with projects and requests. They will also provide input where required into tools and applications being developed by the team for end users across the business. The role is a Hybrid role, office based (60% a week) at any of the main offices (South Mimms, Leatherhead or Dartford) and working from home for the remainder of the week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Follow the Geospatial standard and procedures
- Assist the GIS team with development of GIS standards and procedures.
- Optimisation, administer, maintain and development of the CPS ArcGIS Online environment, including Web Maps, Experience Builder, Instant Apps, Web Applications, Field Maps and Dashboards.
- Design and development of data analytics, processing and automation methodologies
- Integrate spatial data into web applications for analysis, visualisation and decision-making.
- Collaborate with teams and subject matter experts to gather requirements and deliver customised GIS solutions
- Provide progress reporting and updates at team meetings.
- Stay up to date with latest GIS technologies and trends to continuously enhance innovation.
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA REQUIRED:
- Prior experience in the ESRI Suite of products, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, Dashboards, Experience Builder, Instant Apps, Field Maps etc.
- Good understanding of GIS systems, processes and methodologies
- Proficient in requirements capture, task/application design, specification
- Skilled in producing standards, procedures and technical documentation.
- Desirable: Technical skills SQL, Python, Javascript, FME, APIs.
