The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We have an opportunity for staff at both Engineer and Senior Engineer level in our Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff offices to help support our rapidly expanding workload and impressive portfolio of prestigious geotechnical projects both in the UK and internationally. We need to increase our team to meet the growing demands from our clients, especially in the infrastructure sector (particularly rail, highways & water) and the energy sector, which includes carbon capture & storage, renewable energy (wind, current and hydropower), low carbon engineering and nuclear power. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in the ground engineering input to some of our most challenging projects. Requirements:
- The candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or geology with a post graduate qualification in a geotechnical subject.
- The ideal candidate will hold chartered status as either a civil engineer or geologist.
- Experience in the infrastructure sector (highways, rail or water geotechnics).
- A strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally MSc or equivalent).
- Proven experience of working in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
- Project management experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets.
- Proven geotechnical design experience.
- Application of CDM Regulations in a design and ground investigation environment.
- Good commercial track record in negotiating and running successful jobs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
- A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas.
- A valid UK driving licence preferred.

Rewards and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
