AtkinsRéalis are looking to recruit a talented Architectural Part I Assistant to join our growing Exeter team, as part of the wider Midlands, South-West and Wales Architectural Practice for a year long placement. AtkinsRéalis is more than just engineering; we are a Stirling Prize winning, top 10 AJ100 practice whose reputation is built on a culture of open collaboration, creating and delivering excellence in all we do.

As a fully integrated multidisciplinary practice, you will be working alongside Architectural, Engineering and specialist consultants across a myriad of fields. Within the Midlands, South-West and Wales business, we have just under 500 individuals involved in the design and creation of the built environment in Education, Commercial, Energy, Defence and Residential sectors.

Your role offers candidates the opportunity to be a part of a portfolio of exciting projects working with a network of creative individuals with the shared goal of design excellence. We strongly encourage and offer support to individuals during their post Part I placement through our mentoring schemes which offer a work environment where personal and professional growth is possible.

We are looking for candidates with a recognized RIBA Part I qualification who can have a passion for architecture and are hard-working, ambitious and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude to every challenge and opportunity.

About you:

  • Contribute to the successful delivery of complex, small, medium and large-scale projects.
  • Consistency and accuracy in all work produced is essential for this role.
  • Are highly computer literate - skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications.
  • Possess excellent presentation and communication skills both verbally and visually using software and hand drawing skills.
  • Can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, organised and efficient with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively, efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Have a flexible approach to work with a positive and 'can-do' attitude.
  • Self-motivated and committed individuals with an ability to work within a team and independently.

Additional information:

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
