Key Responsibilities
The role will focus on business performance, resilience and technical reputation, contributing to the implementation of our business strategy.
Technical Duties
- Assume Technical Lead role on projects to ensure AtkinsRéalis delivers Smarter, Faster and More Reliable outcomes for its clients.
- Undertake Project Director role on projects where required.
- Undertake Programme / Framework Manager roles on strategic / multi-disciplinary projects.
- Actively encourage staff participation in internal best practice forums and external profile‑raising activities.
- Promote staff development through training, on‑the‑job experience and personal development.
Business Duties
- Actively encourage team integration.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies.
- Develop client relationships with key water and non‑water company clients to grow revenue and margin.
- Promote merging traditional engineering skills with innovative digital methods.
- Manage and provide technical support for bidding opportunities to win work and mitigate risks.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the water market sector, excellent technical skills and have a proven track record of business development, client management, project management and line management. You will play a key role in delivering clean water network infrastructure projects and support the leadership and development of our Urban Drainage Modelling capability.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified, appropriate professional qualifications and broad experience in:
- Model Build and Verification – creating robust sewer network models suitable for analysis and solution development.
- Model Maintenance – updating models and improving them with a focus on specific study drivers.
- Hydraulic and Water Quality Analysis – intelligent assessment of catchment hydraulics and pollutant sources to identify needs and risks.
- Integrated Catchment Modelling – constructing models for assessing interactions between sewers (storm and foul), watercourses and overland flows.
- Catchment Planning – determining hydraulic, environmental and operational needs of catchments and developing horizon strategies to improve performance.
- Solution Development – developing outline designs and supporting detailed design processes.
- Technical Leadership – providing direction and advice to clients to help them make better asset investment decisions.
