The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Your role can be divided into 2 key areas, recognising that there is an overlap between them.
SafetyIn order to provide a view across the business, the Assurance Lead shall have access to the data in the 'EcoOnline' system for safety reports. On a monthly basis, the Assurance Lead shall:
- Lead on embedding safety as a core value in our organisation.
- Oversee our CDM arrangements (for projects delivered under client-side arrangements and to our own management arrangements).
- Train staff and improve our own safe systems of work and AOS risk assessments.
- Lead review of safety related observations/events from EcoOnline and ensure feedback is provided to the originators – weekly cycle.
- Lead the Power New Build (PNB) Health & Safety office champions and PNB Site Safety.
- Progress safety reports to closure on EcoOnline.
- Have an overview of access & on-site safety – work with site leads to ensure appropriate measures are in place & communicated to staff.
- Ensure AOS arrangements are in place and agreed minimum risk options.
- Review the monthly update of projects for the key Power New Build (PNB) frameworks (currently HPC/SZC, Fusion, UK-SMR, France), escalating issues accordingly.
- Provide feedback on safety event learning to projects, e.g. HPC Site Leads team meeting, HPC All Team meeting, Capability monthly meetings.
- Originate PNB VIVA Engage Safety posts to share safety information and learning to PNB staff.
- Identify safety related improvements and pursue implementation of improvements within Power New Build, feeding into Nuclear EMEA.
- Produce a consolidated slide-deck for the PNB UK monthly report and discuss with stakeholders.
- Participate actively in the H&S communities in PNB and Nuclear EMEA, to share good practice, and draw on lessons learned.
In order to provide a view across the business, the Assurance Lead shall have access to the data in the MyQSSE system for access to QREs (Quality Related Events). On a monthly basis, the Assurance Lead shall:
- Undertake a stand-back review on the portfolio of projects in PNB to ensure the assurance arrangements are suitable (proportionate and effective).
- Review Quality Events (QREs) and ensure feedback is provided to the originators – weekly cycle.
- Review Quality Related Events (QRE), with the PNB TGM Community, and ensure corrective actions are in place and feedback is provided to the originators.
- Review the monthly update of projects for the key Power New Build (PNB) frameworks (currently HPC/SZC, Fusion, UK-SMR, France), escalating issues accordingly.
- Provide feedback on quality related event learning to projects, e.g. HPC Site Leads team meeting, Project Delivery Monthly meeting.
- Originate PNB VIVA Engage Safety posts to share quality information and learning to PNB staff.
- Identify quality related improvements and pursue implementation of improvements.
- Produce a consolidated slide-deck for the PNB UK monthly report and discuss with stakeholders.
- Originate, schedule and drive through the internal peer quality audit programme, to ensure we are ready for client/Group QSSE/LRQA audits as they arise.
- Train & support new Internal Peer Auditors.
- Lead and coordinate yearly internal peer audit schedule for PNB projects.
- Support/coach Project Directors & Project Managers on adherence to CMS, TMF and PEM.
- Support external audit requirements for ISO9001:2015 and ISO19443:2018.
- Participate actively in the Quality communities in PNB & Nuclear EMEA to share good practice and draw on lessons learned.
Safety & Quality Measures of success. The key measures of success for the role are:
- Safety and quality embedded as core values in our organisation.
- Visible safety leadership demonstrated in PNB.
- Active participation and drive provided to cross‑Sector improvement initiatives.
- All originators are satisfied with the follow up and testify that raising the observation (via EcoOnline/ QRE) was worthwhile.
- Increasing number of observations raised, from a wide variety of people.
- Greater number of observations that are raised are positive.
- AOS increased use and adherence.
- Internal audit corrective actions are addressed. We have a live improvement plan, and evidence that improvement actions are successfully implemented.
- Target StageGate compliance 100%, PMP compliance 100%.
- Successful accreditation by External Auditor in annual audits.
- Successful hosting of client audits (where required).
