The People Operations Coordinator sits within the Employee Relations team and provides operational HR support through the coordination of key people processes and the resolution of escalated queries from the offshore Tier 1 People Hub. The role delivers a high-quality, customer-focused service, ensuring activities are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with policy, compliance and service standards.

Working closely with employees, managers and HR colleagues, the People Operations Coordinator supports the effective delivery of people services through case management support and process management to help ensure a positive employee experience across the organisation. This position requires you to work at the Epsom or Birmingham office for 3 days a week.

Your role

  • Manage escalated queries from the Tier 1 People Hub, ensuring requests are resolved accurately and within agreed service levels.
  • Support process and procedural queries, terms and conditions enquiries and other straightforward HR matters.
  • Provide support on employee document requests.
  • Support the monitoring of the unassigned HR case queue, triaging HR cases from the management system and identifying high risk cases, escalating cases to colleagues as appropriate.
  • Process Reservist mobilisation and training exercise absence, ensuring cases are managed in line with company policy and legal obligations.
  • Manage the end-to-end Conflict of Interest process, including monitoring declarations, gathering information, maintaining records and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct initial outreach and fact-finding activities relating to sickness absence trigger cases, gathering relevant information from employees and managers and ensuring cases are progressed in line with the policy.
  • Support the wider Employee Relations team, including for example, taking notes occasionally in complex or formal meetings, as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within HR systems and case management tools, ensuring all activity is appropriately documented.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across People Operations and wider HR teams to ensure a consistent and effective service is delivered.
  • Manage individual workload effectively, prioritising competing demands to ensure timely delivery of activities and processes.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in line with company policies, data protection requirements and compliance standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve people processes, service delivery and case management efficiency, raising recommendations for continuous improvement.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
