Job Synopsis:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our Net Zero Energy Business. This position would be based in the central belt of Scotland (or one of our other offices – Bristol, Birmingham, Epsom, Stockton), with a flexible mixture of home-working and office collaboration time expected. We also welcome applicants wishing to work part-time.

Your purpose:

We are looking for someone versatile; you could be managing multiple small projects, or one larger, multi-disciplinary team. You will enjoy working closely with clients on a range of demanding issues whilst helping to mentor and train more junior colleagues.

We are looking for people who can work with and lead engineering teams that are either co-located or geographically disparate. Engineering management roles will vary: some may cover management of several engineering teams whilst others may be leadership of larger engineering projects working as part of a project management team on behalf of AtkinsRéalis or one of our clients.

What you can bring?

With a leading market reputation and growing project demand we are looking for talented, professional Engineering Managers. If you have a strong background in the management of multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering projects ideally in a regulated energy infrastructure engineering environment – we want to hear from you! AtkinsRéalis is looking to build teams who can cover all elements of a project lifecycle - Pre-FEED, FEED, detail design, procurement, manufacture, construction/installation and commissioning.

In addition to having strong communication and leadership skills, you will be able to demonstrate a selection of the following desirable experience and attributes:

Experience of managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, with recent experience of successfully managing either a portfolio of smaller engineering teams or the engineering team on a large design project or EP/EPC/EPCM project.

Good commercial skills, with direct experience of delivery of engineering within a highly regulated industry (e.g. nuclear, power, oil and gas, chemicals, large scale infrastructure).

Bidding and winning work.

Capable and confident of leading, building and maintaining strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

High level of integrity.
