Responsibilities include contributing to the team delivering our apprentice recruitment, taking responsibility end to end for a number of roles from attraction support through to onboarding, aligned to one or more of our business areas. Manage the relationship with the business and the Recruitment Partner, to educate, influence and ensure the smooth delivery of your area of the campaign. Handle high-volume candidate pipelines, ensuring exceptional customer service, timely communication, and a consistently excellent candidate experience. Use our Early Careers ATS, ensuring accurate candidate tracking, smooth process management, and high-quality system data. Support our key business themes such as candidate experience, our local value proposition and living our values. Contribute to continuous improvement, getting involved in projects and process enhancements across the recruitment cycle. Collaborate with the wider Early Careers team, ensuring aligned processes, shared learning, and collective problem-solving.
We are looking for a proactive and motivated recruiter to join our Early Careers team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The focus of this role will be the delivery of apprentice recruitment, while also overseeing the end-to-end recruitment activity for apprentices, graduates, and placement students within a defined business area. You don’t need to have prior Early Careers experience, though it’s ideal; what matters most is your passion for developing early careers talent, your drive to provide exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience, and your ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. We’ll support your development and give you the training needed to become confident and competent in the role. You’ll enjoy variety, pace, and challenge – and you’ll be joining a highly collaborative team where we support each other to deliver an exceptional early careers recruitment experience.
Qualifications include:
- End-to-end recruitment delivery experience, ideally in early careers or within a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously when needed, and maintain a structured approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building, engaging confidently with colleagues, stakeholders, and candidates.
- Customer-focused mindset, always balancing business needs with a candidate-first approach.
- Strong IT capability, including confidence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and comfort using recruitment systems.
- Process-driven but adaptable, following key frameworks while seeking improvements where appropriate.
- Agile and resilient, comfortable juggling multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Self-sufficient yet collaborative, working independently while staying connected to the team.
