Your role as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager includes:
- Managing delivery of major multi‑disciplinary design projects.
- Supporting team growth and ensuring high client satisfaction through quality, commercial and programme deliverables.
- Managing successful delivery of the project to agreed programme, budget and quality targets.
- Identifying and agreeing project objectives and developing a strategy to achieve them.
- Identifying and managing potential contractual or commercial risks to the firm.
- Managing the project team – building, motivating, coaching and guiding.
- Facilitating communication, coordinating and ensuring information flow with the client, subcontractors and partners.
- Assembling and owning the project delivery programme and delivery plans.
- Protecting the firm’s commercial interests, including invoicing, credit control and cash flow.
- Comparing revenue with predicted costs, identifying risk allowances, margin and provisions, and reporting Earned Value.
- Closing out the project, archiving documentation, capturing lessons learned and initiating client satisfaction surveys.
- Supporting business development activities in line with market strategies.
About you:
- Degree qualified with demonstrable experience managing design commissions and/or design‑build contracts on large infrastructure projects.
- Chartered Engineer, Scientist or Project Manager.
- Experience in the Water, Nuclear, Aviation or Defence sectors is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team and demonstrate leadership potential.
- Experience deploying NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Customer‑focused with strong client relationship management skills.
- Supportive and encouraging approach to mentoring junior team members.
- Adaptable to different cultures and working environments.
