This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects covering a broad range of clients from Nuclear New Build, Decommissioning, existing Nuclear Generation and Nuclear Fusion. About your team:
The focus of our Nuclear & Power business is our people and through them building and developing new long-term relationships with clients in the sector, of which we hold a number of long-term framework contracts through which we deliver our clients work. You’ll be part of a truly diverse Electrical, Control & Instrumentation team; we pride ourselves on coming from over 10 different countries with wide-ranging educational backgrounds. You will enjoy access to the industry’s most significant players, and you’ll have a varied work diet with the possibility to get involved in non-technical areas should you be interested.

Your purpose:
The role will entail designing Electrical solutions for the construction of new nuclear stations and systems at fusion research facilities, supporting the operation of the existing nuclear generating fleet and decommissioning of nuclear sites.
Day-to-day activities may include the following:
- Requirement’s identification and equipment specification.
- Conceptual Design & Feasibility Studies.
- Front-End Engineering Design.
- Detailed Design.
- Hazard/fault identification studies e.g., HAZOP, HAZAN, FMEA, etc.
- Test witnessing.
- Safety Substantiation.
- Production of technical reports, procedures and drawings.
- Review technical documentation and drawings.
- Resolving technical issues.
- Tender reviews.
- Assisting in the production of bids and proposals.

What can you bring?
In addition to having excellent communication and problem-solving skills, you will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Able to demonstrate good engineering judgement and a few years of experience in using fundamental engineering skills as an Electrical Engineer with some desirable experience in:
- Power distribution system designs.
- Experience of power system protection studies.
- Lighting and emergency lighting design.
- Earthing & Lightning Protection Design.
- Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Distribution Systems.
- Battery Systems and Room Ventilation design.
- Back up Generation and Excitation Control Systems.
- Motors Design.
