Based in the UK – either the Epsom or London office – the role requires frequent international travel and periods abroad.
Your role
- Undertake detailed analysis of energy problems, build bespoke models in Excel and/or specialist software packages.
- Support concept-level spatial planning of future energy systems.
- Develop high-quality project outputs, including technical content for reports and presentations, and proactively embed new digital products such as dashboards to support implementation.
- Plan and facilitate stakeholder engagement through workshops, interviews, and consultation processes.
- Present to internal and external teams, including client bodies.
- Contribute to developing offers for clients to win new projects through bid development and bid governance management.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, adapting technical inputs to social, economic and governance constraints to provide implementable solutions.
Requirements
- Degree‑qualified in engineering, energy systems or a related technical discipline; working towards or holding a relevant professional accreditation (CEng, CSci or equivalent) is desirable.
- Strong understanding of energy technologies, particularly renewables, and energy markets; concept-level master‑planning experience, including energy demand/supply modelling and/or network planning capabilities, is desirable.
- Interest in the clean energy transition, energy resilience, energy markets & regulation.
- Strong digital capability, experienced with energy modelling in Excel or specialist software; GIS experience is advantageous but not essential.

Security clearance
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK for five years or longer.
