Opportunity: We're looking for a high-performing Assistant Project Manager to join our London team. You will be working within a consultancy environment and ready to take the next step in your career by delivering major, multi-disciplinary property schemes. Our growing team delivers a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial real estate, education, public sector, heritage, and mixed-use developments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced consultancy environment, comfortable working with clients, consultants, and contractors, and keen to build their profile through hands-on project delivery and increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of projects from inception to completion across a range of property sectors
  • Assist in managing project governance, programme, cost, risk, and change-control frameworks
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring collaboration and clear communication across stakeholders
  • Support client engagement – attend meetings, prepare reports, and contribute to key project decisions
  • Monitor project performance against KPIs, identify risks and opportunities early
  • Support procurement activities, tender processes, and contract administration (e.g. JCT)
  • Contribute to high-quality project documentation, including reports, programmes, and briefing papers
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners

We're keen to hear from candidates who are currently working in a project management consultancy and have experience delivering similar-scale projects.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management within the built environment
  • Experience working on property/building projects (commercial, education, residential, public sector)
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, governance, and delivery processes
  • Exposure to contract administration (JCT or NEC)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Working towards or recently achieved APM, RICS, or equivalent professional accreditation
  • Experience within a recognised consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of programme management tools and reporting systems
  • Understanding of risk management and change-control processes
