Start your career shaping landmark infrastructure. AtkinsRéalis is seeking a motivated and talented Assistant Architectural Bridge Designer to join our growing team. Based primarily in our London Victoria office, this is an exciting opportunity for an early-career designer to contribute to the concept, development and delivery of innovative bridge projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing creative and technically robust bridge design solutions.
  • Support the production of drawings, models and design documentation.
  • Contribute to concept design development, 3D modelling and visualisations.
  • Use design software to support project delivery, including CAD and 3D modelling tools.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, architects and other stakeholders.
  • Support project delivery in line with programme, budget and quality requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and team discussions.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or working towards a degree) in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable interest in bridge design, infrastructure or the built environment.
  • Strong design, visualisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or interest in 3D modelling and digital design workflows.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development.

Software Skills (Desirable)

  • Experience in one or more of the following is advantageous: Rhino (preferred), SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
