We’re recruiting for an entry level Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to join our Wastewater Team in Bristol. We are looking for candidates who may have limited experience in the area but with good analytical skills and a desire to learn. We aim to recruit an individual who can contribute to water and wastewater infrastructure projects within our Networks & Drainage Solutions (N&DS) team.
- Develop computer models to investigate flooding and environmental problems and generation of outline solutions.
- Build, verify and analyze hydraulic sewer model outputs.
- Develop 1D and 2D models to investigate flood risk and flooding mechanisms.
- Data handling and analysis.
- Use GIS software (such as MapInfo and ArcGIS) to support understanding of complex environmental problems.
- Develop reports and other project deliverables.
- Survey planning and survey supervision.
- Support junior members of the team to proactively solve environmental problems for our clients.
About You
- An understanding of the UK water industry, environment and sustainability and a desire to apply your skills to the challenges the environment faces.
- Previous demonstrable experience in wastewater modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
- Proactive self-starter with a desire to learn and develop technically and work towards a professional qualification.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
