We are looking for experienced Business Analysts who can help clients solve complex problems in secure, highly regulated and mission-critical environments, where operational resilience, assurance, security and stakeholder alignment are essential.

As a Senior Business Analyst in our Secure Government business unit, you will support digital, data and transformation programmes across defence environments where mission assurance, operational resilience, security and effective collaboration across military, engineering, operational and digital stakeholders are critical. You will help clients define needs, lead and manage requirements, optimise processes and deliver change in contexts where safety, assurance, security, regulatory compliance and stakeholder alignment are central to successful outcomes.
Your role as a Business Analyst within our Digital, Data and AI consulting team will involve:
- Delivering exceptional results for our clients by putting value at the core of everything we do.
- Leading collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive digital initiatives and shape the culture and behaviours required for successful digital adoption.
- Leading senior-level engagement, working with military, operational, engineering, security, commercial, assurance and digital stakeholders, using senior-level facilitation, analysis and constructive challenge to translate complex defence and secure government needs into clear, prioritised and traceable requirements that support mission outcomes, operational resilience and deliverable digital transformation.
- Analysing processes and operations, using appropriate tools and techniques to identify improvements in accordance with client objectives, including workshop facilitation.
- Leading end‑to‑end requirements development, from initial business needs through user‑level requirements, ensuring clear translation, traceability, and alignment to support the creation of value‑adding digital solutions.
- Developing and leading transformation roadmaps that form the foundation of digital change for our customers.
- Influencing Agile practices within our client’s environment, helping to shape key activities and actively participating in sprints, scrums and retrospectives.
- Contributing to the development of operational improvement tools, techniques and methods that build capability within our teams, including exploring how AI‑enabled approaches can enhance efficiency, insight and value.
- Championing stakeholders' needs, ensuring development is aligned with their requirements and business goals.
About you:
- Experience in operating at a Senior Level in consulting services to clients or relevant business analyst role.
- Experience working in the defence sector, or in comparable highly regulated, secure or mission-critical environments such as secure government, aerospace, national security, nuclear, energy, utilities or transport. Direct defence sector experience would be advantageous.
- Attained or working towards BA Diploma.
- Understanding of the defence delivery environment, including mission focus, security, regulatory compliance, assurance, operational resilience, configuration control and the importance of working effectively across multidisciplinary military, engineering, operational, commercial and digital teams.
- Experience in technology-led transformation programmes across strategy, business design and change management.
- Experience in an agile project delivery environment (e.g., APMP, SAFe, MSP, DSDM, Scrum).
- Ability to lead the translation of user needs and business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Analysing complex problems, designing innovative solutions, and communicating them effectively to a wide range of audiences.
- Experience with core Business Analysis and delivery tools such as Visio for process modelling, IBM Doors, Jira, Confluence and Azure DevOps for backlog management, and other platforms that support effective requirements development and Agile delivery.
- Exemplary stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
