We are seeking a skilled Data & Power BI Analyst with a strong knowledge of Project Controls, to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights. The role involves data modeling, DAX calculations, and integrating data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and security. You will sit within a multidisciplinary project controls team where you will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into impactful visualizations, optimize performance, and support data-driven decision-making. Strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and analytical problem-solving is essential.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Perform data modeling, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations to support business insights.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver actionable insights.
- Data Engineering & Integration
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data quality and integration across systems.
- DevOps & Deployment (Optional)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate analytics solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
- Assist in version control, testing, and deployment of analytics applications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Participate in agile project teams, contributing to planning, execution, and delivery.
- Communication & Documentation
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Document processes, data flows, and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
About you:
- Experienced in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, dashboard design), Power Apps and Power automate.
- Basic to intermediate coding skills on SQL, Python, and any other programming language will be useful.
- Proven experience in project controls on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost, schedule, risk, and change management.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and UK construction standards.
- Ability to work and collaborate in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Good listening and communication skills are mandatory.
