As part of our Networks & Drainage Solutions team, you’ll help deliver sustainable, resilient, and innovative civil engineering solutions that support communities and protect the environment.

Due to continued framework successes, we’re looking for an Assistant Civil Engineer who is passionate about water, highways, drainage, and infrastructure to join our Highways Drainage Team in Bristol. Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing mains design, drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways authorities, Network Rail and developers.

Your role

  • Developing your experience by contributing to a variety of drainage design and surface water management projects, with opportunities to support the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and our recognised industry leaders.
  • Drainage design from concept to detailed design; during construction.
  • Leveraging digital tools and data to disrupt the status quo, driving innovation and efficiency across the water and infrastructure sectors.

About you

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Enthusiasm for civil, water, and environmental engineering.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
  • Working towards, or interested in pursuing professional accreditation (e.g., ICE or CIWEM).

Security clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
