As a SPCM/PCM, you will add value to project/programme teams on niche and high-profile schemes across the infrastructure sector for our reputable clients. You will be tasked with fulfilling a range of responsibilities, tailored to the specific needs of the project or program you are contributing to.
Your role includes:
- Supervision and management of a Project Controls team, setting objectives, reviewing performance, and providing feedback.
- Developing, monitoring and assuring the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
- Agreeing on the progress measurement methodology with the contractor and ensuring timely submission of project actuals.
- Measuring current performance and forecasting future performance using valid performance measurement techniques such as earned value management.
- Implementing, sustaining and improving planning, risk, cost control, change control management policies, procedures & processes.
- Chairing and/or facilitating project/programme level change forums and ensuring all choices are enacted within the change control system.
- Advising project/programme leaders by providing specialist advice and technical knowledge to resolve delays and issues.
- Undertaking self-assessment of procedural compliance and sharing lessons learned within the wider Project Controls community.
About you:
- Proficiency in EVM processes and their application in complex infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in a Project Management or Project Controls Management position.
- Exceptional skills in managing stakeholders in a matrix and line organization.
- Experience in a client organisation or managing subcontractors from a project controls perspective.
- A good standing formal professional Project Management or project controls management qualification.
- Resilience and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent visual communication skills, able to provide insights through dashboards and visual reports.
- Experience of project controls management under NEC Forms of Contract.
- Knowledge of Government investment processes and procedures.
- Experience of the rail industry and its regulatory framework.
