We are seeking an experienced Client Director (Key Account Manager) to join our Power Grids Market team to focus on growing our established and new accounts. You will use your Transmission sector knowledge and contacts to identify multidiscipline opportunities, working with internal delivery practices to develop capture strategies and value propositions that will position AtkinsRéalis as the supplier of choice and deepen client relationships.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the focal point for one or more key client accounts and/or workstreams, ensuring client needs are understood and met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the UK Electricity Transmission sector and internally within AtkinsRéalis to foster trust and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain Client Plans / gold sheets and facilitate regular KAM meetings and client strategy sessions.
- Gather market intelligence (projects, trends, competitors, pricing), analyse client needs, competitor capabilities and align AtkinsRéalis solutions to develop differentiated, compelling value propositions, and support the development of associated marketing campaigns.
- Manage the forward pipeline for the account, tracking opportunities and implementing capture plans.
- For pursuits of utmost strategic importance and during peaks in workload act as Capture Manager, leading the development and execution of capture strategies and value propositions.
- Identify new opportunities and cross-sell AtkinsRéalis services.
- Engage with Engineering Practices to secure resources and deliver value.
- Oversee effective delivery of work within the account and continuously improve.
- Ensure adherence to governance processes and best practices.
- Have financial accountability for revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in Key Account Management and have excellent existing knowledge and active contacts across the UK Electricity Transmission sector. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential, along with excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously under pressure and with tight deadlines.

- Proven experience of KAM in the engineering, construction, or professional services sectors.
- Strategic thinker with a growth mindset and adaptability.
- Ability to see the “big picture” and develop a coherent, long-term strategy for winning business in competitive markets.
