The Assurance Advisor will hold a formal auditing qualification, preferably for ISO 27001 or ISO 9001, and will deliver internal assurance audits across AtkinsRéalis. They are responsible for ensuring assigned audits are conducted in line with the AtkinsRéalis Internal Quality Audit Procedure and Management System, and that findings are documented and closed out. As part of the AtkinsRéalis Global Audit Program, they will highlight areas for improvement including processes that enable better business performance.
Your role
- Follow internal Assurance audit procedures for audit planning, delivery and follow‐up.
- Deliver green and low amber risk audits, process audits, and verification audits within key performance targets set by the UK and Ireland Operations and Improvements Manager.
- Support the auditee during the close‐out of findings.
- Provide enhanced understanding of the Management System to Auditees.
- Participate in internal improvement projects associated with audit findings, management review and business change as directed.
- Maintain confidential treatment of records and information accessed as part of the audit role.
- Support the delivery of Root Cause Analysis.
- Participate and contribute to the UKI Operations Team Operations Plan.
- Promote and help embed a strong quality culture within AtkinsRéalis.
- Perform other duties as supervisor may deem necessary.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Management, Engineering or a technical field, plus auditing experience.
- Experience in consultancy and design projects, preferably in an engineering consultancy environment.
- Knowledge and experience auditing to a management system aligned to ISO standards.
- Recognition of a formal external audit qualification/certification aligned to internal auditing, ISO 27001 and/or ISO 9001.
- Organised, articulate and analytical.
- Excellent communicator, able to quickly build strong relationships and trust.
- Able to process large volumes of information, identify and differentiate critical information.
- Active listener who can build on a conversation using sound question techniques.
- Strong relationship builder who can influence and engage the business to support improvement implementation.
- Self‐starter capable of managing own time and adding value to tasks or functions.
