We recently became a Delivery Partner for the Environment Agency’s latest framework, supporting climate change impact assessments and flood risk reduction in England. Under the 2024 Mapping and Modelling Framework, AtkinsRéalis will provide survey, mapping, modelling, incident management, hydrological, and other professional services to aid climate event planning and response, helping communities and informing investment decisions.
Due to these projects, we have vacancies for enthusiastic individuals in technical roles nationwide.
Role: Contribute to and lead hydraulic and hydrological modelling projects.
Expertise: Proficiency in 1D and 2D modelling for rivers, surface water, and coastal areas.
Location: Vacancies across the UK.
AtkinsRéalis offers diverse opportunities in engineering, environmental, and design consulting, working on projects like HS2, Sizewell C, natural flood management, flood forecasting, and water resource management, both domestically and internationally.
We seek technical experts capable of leading flood risk projects, including 1D and 2D river, surface water, and sewer models. You will work with engineers, ecologists, scientists, and international teams, developing project management, client relationships, and international project opportunities.
You should have strong project management, commercial awareness, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and build client relationships.
Requirements:
- A degree in Geography, Science, or Civil Engineering, with postgraduate qualifications or notable experience.
- Chartered or Fellow status with CIWEM or ICE.
- Extensive experience in flood risk management, project delivery, and client engagement.
- Leadership experience in managing technical teams.
- Decision-making skills based on robust information.
- Proficiency in flood modelling tools (e.g., Infoworks ICM, Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS), GIS, and hydrological assessments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise projects and junior resources.
- Develop project scope, manage finances, and ensure quality deliverables.
- Produce high-quality reports and lead hydraulic modelling and data analysis.
