Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways/rail authorities, and developers.
It’s an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business with unprecedented investment in the water industry. Due to continued framework successes, we seek to recruit an Associate Director/Team Leader to join our Water and Wastewater Team in Glasgow or Edinburgh to lead one of our key Engineering and Consultancy frameworks, with a leading UK Water Company.
What you can bring:
- Experience working in the UK water industry, with proven skills in growing and building strong relationships with clients. May include technical skills in Wastewater Non-Infra design.
- Experience in managing projects, leading teams, and development of people.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to have technical discussions with colleagues and clients in a logical and coherent manner.
- Relevant degree or vocational qualification.
- Chartered with a relevant professional institution (i.e. ICE or CIWEM), would be advantageous.

Your purpose:
- Spearheading a dynamic project delivery team, responsible for the successful delivery of one of our top Infrastructure Water Company frameworks.
- Team Lead (& Line Manager) for a range of technical disciplines including modellers, designers and PMs. Responsible for supporting in career development for the team.
- The development of client relationships with our key Water Company and non-Water Company clients.
- Project Management and Project Direction, including managing resources, budgets and programmes and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Driving continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Development of tender responses and fee estimates.

Rewards and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell off that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Additional Information:
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
